Prepare for Christmas the right way, Fr. Aroh charges Christians

A Catholic priest, Rev. Fr. Stanley Aroh has admonished Christians, especially Catholics to prepare for Christmas the right way.
The priest who is the Cathedral Administrator of St Williams Catholic Church, Lafia, Nasarawa state, North Central, Nigeria noted in his Sunday homily today during the 8 am (second Sunday of Advent) that many people do not prepare for the birth of Christ the right way.
He pointed out that spiritual preparation for the coming of Christ is more important than the stocking up of food and drinks.
He said Christians as scripture stated in Luke 3:4-6 must strengthen the way they live at Christmas as that is the only way to welcome the messiah.
In his words…”Let us amend our ways at Christmas. One can not be preparing for Christmas by exploiting others, hiking transport fares and wanting to make money at all costs. Spiritual preparation is more important. Don’t exploit and involve yourself in ungodly things in a bid to celebrate Christmas in a big way. Celebrate as you can, not as you can’t…Christmas is not a competition.”
Fr. Aroh stressed that those who God has blessed must also put others in their budget at Christmas since it is a season to reach out to loved ones.
“Christmas is a season to share whatever you have with your neighbor and the poor,” he said.
