President Tinubu Signs Kalu’s and Sen. Ndubueze’s Bills Establishing 2 Tertiary Institutions in Abia, Imo into Law
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has signed into law two bills sponsored by Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Benjamin Okezie Kalu, establishing Federal College of Education, Bende, Abia State; Federal University of Medical and Health Sciences, Item Bende, Abia State, and the Distinguished Senator Patrick Chiwuba Ndubueze Bill establishing the Federal University Okigwe, Imo State, the bill was Sponsored by Distinguished Senator Patrick Chiwuba Ndubueze.
The institutions aim to provide quality education, research opportunities, and cater to the educational needs of the South East region.
The Federal College of Education, Bende will provide full-time courses, teaching, instruction and training in technology, applied sciences, commerce, arts and social sciences.
