Pro- Wrestling Ring Arrives Lome, Togo
As part of efforts to ensure that professional wrestling takes root in Togo, a brand new wrestling ring has been delivered to the country.
The ring which was donated to the country’s wrestling federation, Association Togolaise de Catch (ATCATCH) by renowned Coach, Bafuka Nsimba “the Shaolin Grand Master” who runs the Brussels Young Wrestling Styles (BYWS) based in Brussels, Belgium and received by President of Togo Catch, Habib Adam in Lome.
The donation was in fulfilment of the pledge he made to the federation, when he visited the country from his base in Brussels, the Belgian Capital where he trained wrestlers on the basic principles of the sports in July, 2025.
Speaking on the gesture, Secretary General of Pro- Wrestling Africa, Olusesan Olukoya described the gift as a good development to the development of African pro wrestling noting that he’s happy that the partnership between his organization and Shaolin Grand Master is yielding positive result. Pro Wrestling Africa (PWA) and the Brussels Young Wrestling Styles (BYWS) signed a working relationship agreement in July 2024 at Brussels, Belgium to promote professional wrestling talent exchange and joint championships.
“We at the Pro- Wrestling Africa are happy with what the Shaolin Master has done which will go a long way in helping develop the sports in the French speaking West African country. We hope and pray he do more with time”
“You should remember that July last year, he came to Nigeria, Benin Republic and Togo where he organized training programmes for wrestlers and officials.”
“He also visited Togo again on the 26th December, 2025 and now followed it up with the donation of a wrestling ring and I must say a very big congratulations to him”, he stated.
Meanwhile, President of Togo Wrestling Federation, has expressed joy with the donation, positing that his athletes are overwhelmed with the gesture.
He commended the donor for the kind gesture and the Pro-Wrestling Africa scribe, Olusesan Olukoya for his role in championing the development of the sports in the African continent.
The entire members of Togo Catch are happy that we now have a ring to train. Prior to this time, we were training on hard surfaces but with the arrival of this ring, we are now ready to go and ensure that the sports is well developed in our country.
