Professional Wrestling to be inaugurated in Benin Republic on September 7
Arrangement has been concluded by Pro-Wrestling Africa, a body set up to introduce the mats man game in all the countries in Africa to inaugurate professional wrestling in Benin Republic.
Secretary General of the body Olusesan Olukoya, announced the date following a meeting the body held Wednesday, August, 22 with that country’s Main Organising Committee of the inauguration in Cotonou, the Benin Republic Capital.
According to him, the well attended meeting which had in attendance, Nigerian delegation led by himself includes; Ogbakpah Murphy, Oloro Louis Rowland, Ogbakpah Moses
Edobor Goodnews and Edobor Samson Oyobagie while Benin Republic was represented by Mayor Wouanvoegbe Germain, Noudohouenou Franck, Aholou Sidouane, Bissi Mohinou and Gbodjinou Michel.
The Pro- Wrestling scribe expressed happiness that more countries are now showing interest to be part of wrestling even as he assured that Pro-Wrestling Africa is unrelenting in moving the game to all parts of the continent.
” It’s a thing of joy that Benin Republic, the next door neighbours of Nigeria is now ready to embrace wrestling and join the league of nations like Nigeria, Cameroon, Democratic Republic of Congo, Angola , South Africa and recently Togo where the game was recently introduced and we at Pro-Wrestling Africa are ready to take the game even beyond these countries”, he assured.
