PWA felicitates with new Imo State Sports Commissioner, Onyeocha

Pro- Wrestling Africa, the body saddled with the organisation of professional wrestling in Africa has congratulated the newly appointed Imo State Commissioner For Sports, Hon. Obinna Onyeocha describing his appointment as well deserved

The former Transition Committee Chairman of Orlu Local Government Area was among the 24 newly appointed Commissioners and special advisers sworn in on Tuesday, April 30, 2024 by Gov. Hope Uzodinna at the New Executive Council Chamber, Government House, Owerri.

In a press statement issued by the body and signed by it’s Secretary General, Olusesan Olukoya it described his appointment as a round peg in a round hole hoping that he’ll continue with the fine legacy set by his predecessor, Emeka Okonkwo who was deployed to the Ministry of Special Duties.

Olukoya prayed to God to accord the newly sworn in Sports Commissioner the wisdom that will enable him to hit the ground running in the Sports Ministry and ensure that Imo Sports continue to thrive.

” We at the PWA received with excitement the news of your appointment as Sports Commissioner and we believe that as a tested administrator you will do your utmost best to making Imo State Sports move forward as well as take special interest in professional wrestling

The statement further noted that the appointment coming at a time an Imo State indegene, Augustine Okafor A.K.A Mr. Sharpman won the African Light heavyweight wrestling title is worth celebrating expressing hope that the Commissioner will extend his hands of fellowship to wrestling which boast of many talented Imolites who are making the country proud in the sports and we look forward to a cordial working relationship with your Ministry and our body
