PWA Scribe, Olukoya Honoured with Ex-LACOEDIANS Platform Pathfinder Award


It was celebration galore at the Lagos State College of Education Otto Ijanikin reunion get together of November 2025 held at Rotary Hall, Isolo Estate, Isolo, Lagos when 19 ex-students of the College were awarded during the reunion and get together.
Tagged ‘Reunion Trailblazers convergence, ex-students of the institution which is now known as Lagos State University of Education who were students in the 1980s and 1990s were happy to see each other after many decades of loosing contacts.
At the event, the Pro Wrestling Africa (PWA) scribe Olusesan Olukoya was honoured with the prestigious Pathfinder Award by the Ex-LACOEDIANS Platform for his initiative of creating the platform in 2018.
The recognition celebrates his outstanding contributions, leadership roles, and continued commitment to elevating the ex-LACOEDIANS of the 1980s and 1990s alumni community development.
The award further underscores Olukoya’s growing influence within the ex-student’s community and beyond.
Other distinguished awardees are Sir Sunday Akintola, KJW who received the exemplary leadership award; His Excellency Dr. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa the Executive Governor of Ondo state who got the Outstanding Governance Award; Mr. Adebowale Norman-Williams for the Outstanding Musical Award; Mrs. Comfort Chibuike for her outstanding Educator Award.
Other awardees are ; Prof. Clement O. Fasan, Prof. Abayomi Akindele-Oscar, Prof. M.O.B Mohammed FNAEAP, Prof. Jide Gbenu, Prof. Deola Sobola, Prof. Tokunbo S. Osinubi, Prof. Tola Olujuwon and Hon Tolani Sule who received the prestigious Educator Awards.
Well-deserved Diaspora Exemplary Award was received by Chief Mrs. Olayinka Ekujumi Igbaroola who is based in Texas , United States but was represented, Mrs. Adewunmi Onochie got the Legendary Alumnus Award. Retired Comptroller of Immigration kayode olufunso Agosu and Hon. Tajudeen J. Agoro a renowned politician of repute both received Illustrious Alumnus Award.
Legendary Alumnus Award went to Mrs. Felicia Iwuchukwu while the Platform Hyper Activity Award went to Hon Dairo Provost Omokide.
Dignitaries at the events includes HRH Oba Balalola Agboola Apara, the Alapara of Apara Kingdom in Ijeshaland who is alaso an Ex-LACOEDIAN among others.
Speaking on the award, Secretary General of Pro Wrestling Africa, Olusesan Olukoya noted that he’s happy that the award is coming from his alumni which is an indication that they appreciate what products of their institution have achieved
He noted that although he has received many awards in the past, but he cherishes this more than all other awards because it’s coming from his classmates.
An overjoyed Olukoya charged his classmates to keep the flag of the school flying as it helped in molding their careers and making them what they are in the society today.
