PWA Unfolds plans for multiple wrestling championships in July
..As eight countries indicate interest to be part of the showdown

As part of it’s efforts to further develop professional wrestling in the African continent, Pro- Wrestling Africa (PWA), a body saddled with the introduction of the mats man game in all the nooks and crannies of the continent has announced plans to organize mega wrestling championships in Nigeria, Togo and DR Congo in July this year.
This was part of the decision reached between the Secretary General of the body, Olusesan Olukoya and Shaolin Master Simba Bafuka, who runs Brussels Young Wrestling Style (BYWS) when the former embarked on a 12 day working visit to Brussels in Belgium.
According to Olukoya who received a wrestling ambassador award during the Belgian visit, noted that apart from showcasing African wrestlers, Shaolin Master Simba Bafuka will also have his last fight in Africa, where he’ll announce his retirement from the ring
” My purpose of travelling to Belgium was achieved, and I can tell you that I had useful discussions with many of the best promoters in Europe as i visited Luxembourg, France and Germany.
” Part of the decision we took at the meeting in Belgium is that there will be a championship to be held in July in Nigeria. That will be followed up by another one in Togo in the same month with the last event coming up on Saturday August 1st in DR Congo to commemorate the retirement of Grand Maître Simba Bafuka and that would be his last fight in Africa.
“What this means is that the contingent will travel from Nigeria, Togo, and DR Congo, and I can assure you that there won’t be any dull moment during the fights,”he promised with confidence.
Meanwhile, the PWA scribe has announced that 8 countries namely; Nigeria, Togo, Benin Republic, Ghana, Cameroon, Angola, Congo Brazzaville and DR Congo have all indicated interest to be part of the championship.
He expressed confidence that many more African countries will later be part of the championship, which is aimed at changing the face of professional wrestling in the entire continent.
