Renowned Wrestling Promoter, Mooney Francis Peter To Organize Seminar For Nigerian Wrestlers At Gov. Soludo Championship

Nigeria Pro- Wrestling Federation has announced that renowned Scottish wrestling promoter, Mooney Francis Peter based in Glasgow, Scotland will be in the country to organize a professional wrestling seminar/ training course for the country’s matsmen during the forthcoming Governor Soludo International Wrestling Championship schedule to hold from Friday 26th to Sunday 28th September 2025 in Awka, Anambra State.
President of the Federation Chief John Uche told our correspondent that
Francis Mooney who is excited about the invitation, is expected the country on Monday 22nd September and depart on Thursday 2nd October, 2025 during which time, he’ll be running a seminar for 105 youths in Anambra state
” The Federation has made all necessary arrangement for top wrestling promoter, Mooney Francis Peter to organize a seminar in the country during the forth coming Gov. Soludo international wrestling championship.
” The seminar will involve a total of 105 youths from the 21 Local Government Areas in Anambra State (5 from each Local Government) who will be taught the most modern professional wrestling styles and gimmicks.
” He’ll also take them on Character Development and Storytelling, Physical Conditioning and Health, In-Ring Skills and Psychology, Wrestling Business Knowledge and International Cultural Adaptability for the wrestlers and training in professional wrestling promotions and management for officials.
Chief Uche further explained that Frankie Mooney who runs the Rivals Wrestling in Glasgow, Scotland, is not new to Nigeria as he was in Ikot Abasi, Akwa Ibom State in April 2014 at a professional wrestling championship where he awarded scholarship to Nigeria’s wrestler, Power Vic, who eventually attended an eight weeks training course in Scotland under his watch.
He stated that the best wrestler during the Governor Soludo International Pro Wrestling championship may also end up accessing scholarships to Europe just as he charged the country’s wrestlers to make good use of the championship and further improve their career in the profession.
