REP MEMBER, NWOGU DISTRIBUTES FERTILIZERS TO ABOH MBAISE/ NGOR OKPALA FARMERS
It was all a show of appreciation early this week as the federal house member representing Aboh Mbaise/Ngor Okpala federal constituency distributed fertilizers to farmers in his constituency across party line.
The distribution which took place at the Umuohiagu, Ngor Okpala residence of the lawmaker witnessed the presence of farmers from all the major political parties in the federal constituency including PDP, APC, APGA, LP and other political parties.
Cooperative societies, party Chairmen from all the political parties, women leaders from all the political parties and other farmers union were also present during the distribution.
During the distribution, Hon. Attorney Dr Matthew Nwogu (Eziaha Ka Ego) reminded the people of Aboh Mbaise/Ngor Okpala that his representation is for the people of Aboh Mbaise and Ngor Okpala and not for a particular political party and therefore will always ensure that the federal constituency is well represented.
The lawmaker assured the farmers of continued government support to improve agricultural produce amidst the challenge of food scarcity in the society.
The federal lawmaker advised the people including the youths to focus more on agriculture as alternative to the on available white-collar jobs, saying that with the state of the economy nationwide, it was only through farming that the people could survive.
He was emphatic on his commitment to assisting rural farmers through legislative provisions just as he expressed optimism on the government readiness to relentlessly provide support for the people.
