Foregoing every unforeseen circumstances, Saturday October 26th (Orie), 2024 all roads will lead to Wisdom Palace in Ihim ancient town of Isiama autonomous community in Isiala Mbano local government area of Imo State, as HRH Eze Dr. Oliver Ohanweh, the traditional ruler of the autonomous community will celebrate their ancestral Iriji cultural festival heritage in a usual grand style.
Eze Ohanweh who’s popularly known as Obi Gburugburu of Igboland addressing Journalists on Saturday in his magnificent Palace while on the throne with his beautiful Ugoeze and Eze in Council passionately appealed to his friends, well wishers and associates to reserve the date for him as he and his cabinet members have advanced plans to make the occasion to be an evergreen cultural fiesta.
The reverred traditional ruler pointed out that for the past two years, he has been making the occasion low key do to the economic downturn in the country but in view of God’s continual abundant blessings to members of his community and the ongoing development and transformation in the ancient kingdom, that they want to appreciate God by making the celebration of their cultural heritage, an evergreen occasion.
On issue of security, Obi Gburugburu assured that there will be no security threat as Igbo tradition and cultural heritages are being promoted.
He also said that the occasion will be hosted in his ancestral home massive, Ihim Wisdom Palace with cultural troupes, masquerades, wrestling, parades of the community maiden queens, acrobatic climbing of palm trees by energetic young men with palliatives distribution and free medical services for the less privileged members of the community.
On entertainment, the Royal Father informed that apart from the yam, all other rich traditional foods will be served to the guests like breadfruit (ukwa), beans(akidi), roasted yam and plantain served with fresh palm wine, crabs, real vegetable and uha soups, local fowl, traditional salad among other local food recipes and menu.
