Rivers House of Assembly Begins Impeachment Proceedings Against Fubara

The Rivers State House of Assembly has commenced impeachment proceedings against Governor Siminalayi Fubara and his deputy Ngozi Oduh.

House majority leader, Major Jack read out notice of allegations and gross misconduct against Fubara on Thursday during plenary.

Twenty-six members of the Rivers State House of Assembly signed the notice claiming that Fubara violated the Nigerian Constitution.

Speaker Martins Amaewhule said the notice will be served to Fubara in the next seven days.
