Safety Babes extends unbeaten tun As Bendel Dynamos is relegated grom Ardova Handball Premier League 

Safety Babes of Abuja are hoping to finish the 2024 Ardova Handball Premier League with an unbeaten record just as they did last season after defeating Rima Queens of Sokoto 27-22 in an interesting clash inside the National Institute of Sports indoor sports hall in Lagos.

Rima Queens who hoped to finish on the podium as they did last season with young and energetic players, battled down all through the match but couldn’t match up the experience of the Safety Babes in the later part of the game as the Coach Innocent Nwankwo side ensured they picked the win to extend their winning streak.

Safety Babes have now extended their win in the Ardova Handball Premier League to 52 matches.

In other games for the female category, COAS Babes surprisingly defeated Plateau Peacocks 25-22 to put their hopes of not relegating alive while Defenders Babes defeated Delta Queens 40-36 as the battle of who joins relegated Bendel Dynamos in the Division 1 league next season will be determined with their final games of the season.

Bendel Dynamos already confirmed their relegation from the Ardova Handball Premier league following their 38-17 loss to Rivers Queens.

Imo Grasshoppers will be hoping to give their former coach and newly appointed Director of Sports Imo state Sports commission Coach Akpulor a medal as they hang on to the 3rd position on the log with a 32-28 victory over Lagos Seasider Babes.

In the Male category, Tojemarine Academy edged out Niger United 27-20 to move closer to winning the league for the first time in the club history after Rima Strikers and Safety Shooters ended in a 30-30 stalemate.

Other results in the men category saw former champion Kano Pillars defeating D-Defenders 31-27 while Lagos Seasiders Kings defeated Benue Buffaloes 23-21

The battle for relegation survivor between Adamawa Warriors and Sunshine Kings ended in a draw with a scoreline of 34-34.
