Safety Babes set to clinch unprecedented consecutive fourth Ardova Handball Premier League title 

Safety Babes have all but won the women’s category league following their emphatic victory over Bendel Dynamos on Day 9 of the Ardova Handball Premier League 2024 phase 2  on Thursday in Lagos.

Safety Babes, who haven’t lost any handball match in the league for over two years, all but sealed their unprecedented fourth title and five titles overall, following their annihilating 50-27 victory over bottom placed Bendel Dynamos.
This means that they are set to be crowned champion of the Ardova Handball Premier League for a historic fourth consecutive time all things being equal.

They first won the league in the 2019 Season.

Other matches in the women’s category, Delta Queens remain out of the relegation place as they subject COAS Babes to remain in the relegation with a 35-24 victory over the Nigeria Army team while Plateau Peacocks defeated Rima Queens 27-25.

Imo Grasshoppers made use of their experience to beat Rivers Queens 35-32 while Defender Babes descended heavily on Seasider Babes of Lagos with a 36-28 victory.

In the men category, Lagos Seasider, unlike their female colleagues in the women category, defeated D.Defender 18-14 while Tojemarine of Lagos continued to lead the log as they defeated Sunshine Kings of Akure 36-25 to atone for their loss against Safety Shooters on Day 7.

Rima Strikers comfortably defeated Corrections Boys 41-25 to put pressure on Tojemarine for the title while Benue Buffaloes and Kano Pillars played out a 20-20 draw.

Defending champion, Niger United defeated Adamawa Warriors 28-25.

4) Safety Shooters–Confluence Stars 10–00 (W/O). 

5) Benue Buffaloes–Kano Pillars 20–20.

6) Adamawa Warriors –Niger United  25–28.
