Saheed Abiodun Lawal Felicitates Christians at Easter, Urges Constituents to Embrace Lessons of Christ Resurrection
An aspirant to the Oyo State House of Assembly who wants to represent Egbeda Local Government, Hon. Saheed Abiodun Lawal, has extended warm Easter greetings to Christians across Egbeda Local Government Area and Oyo State at large, urging residents to reflect on the lessons of the resurrection of Jesus Christ.
In his Easter message released on Good Friday, Hon. Lawal congratulated the Christian faithful on the successful completion of the Lenten season and the celebration of Easter, which symbolizes sacrifice, hope, renewal, and victory of life over death.
He noted that the resurrection of Jesus Christ remains a powerful message of hope, perseverance, and faith, especially in challenging times, stressing that the people of Egbeda must embrace the virtues of love, unity, sacrifice, and selfless service as exemplified by Jesus Christ.
According to him, Easter is not only a period of celebration but also a time for deep reflection, reconciliation, and commitment to community development and peaceful coexistence among residents regardless of religious or political differences.
Hon. Lawal further urged constituents to use the Easter period to pray for Egbeda Local Government, Oyo State, and Nigeria as a whole, while encouraging leaders at all levels to govern with fairness, compassion, and accountability.
He reiterated his commitment to quality representation, grassroots development, youth empowerment, improved education, and better infrastructure across Egbeda Local Government if given the opportunity to represent his good people in the Oyo State House of Assembly.
“I felicitate with all Christians in Egbeda Local Government as we celebrate Easter. The resurrection of Jesus Christ teaches us about hope, sacrifice, love, and victory after hardship. These are lessons we must apply in our daily lives and in the development of our communities,” he said.
He concluded by wishing all residents a peaceful and joyful Easter celebration and urged everyone to celebrate responsibly and continue to live in peace and harmony with one another.
