Members of the All Nigerian Players Union (ANPU) on Wednesday visited the Arepo, Ogun State home of late former Super Eagles media officer, Ben Alaiya where they commiserated with his wife Mrs Moji Ben Alaiya.
The ANPU team which was led by Chairman Board of Trustees (BOT) Chikelue Iloenyosi prayed for the Alaiya family, even as they charged the wife to be strong and have faith in God Almighty who knows all things.
Iloenyosi and his team assured Ben’s wife of their support describing her late husband as a nice gentleman who was God fearing and served the nation well. Iloenyosi recalled that Ben Alaiya was part of the success story of the Super Eagles under the late Stephen Keshi when Nigeria won the Nations Cup for the third time in South Africa in 2013.
“It is unfortunate that we lost Ben at this time, we pray God to grant his soul eternal rest,” Iloenyosi stated.
Those on the ANPU team on the visit included Francis Feregene Agbata, Monday Kanu, Mrs Shola Otis, Mathias Enebeli and Sam Otis.
