Southside Scrabble Kaduna will be travelling at the weekend to Jos, the City of Tourism to lock horns with the Rock Solid Jammers as the Jos Scrabble Club is fondly called.
The 12-man Southside Scrabble expedition team which includes notable jammers like, Neino Sanda, Bath Uche is spearheaded by the King of SouthSide Mr Gazza Danjuma.
The home team led by the freshly crowned Plateau Numero Uno Champion, Mr Henry Nwosu, are set to defend their turf against the invaders as the rock solid jammers are known to always do.
The Jos Scrabble club Public Relations Officer, Mr Anthony Ajao, said the event which has the full backing of the Plateau State Scrabble Association is meant to foster friendship and also give the visitors a taste of why Plateau State is called the HOME OF PEACE AND TOURISM. Above all, it is meant to keep the North Central scrabble circuit rolling.
The one-day event which is scheduled to hold at the prestigious Greatklings Continental Suites, Jos, will feature team round robin with two King-Of-The-Hill pairings.
Though both teams are missing some of their key players such as Alhassan and Negro on the Jos side as well as Donny and Wellington on the Southside team, the event promises to be a great scrabble showcase nonetheless.
Mr Ajao on behalf of the Club, appreciated the North Central Zonal Co-ordinator, Alhaji Olumayowa Aliyu, for his continual support for scrabble activities on the Plateau.
