A quintessential leader is a person with character traits that distinguish him among people in leadership positions.
Olusesan Olukoya, the Secretary General of Pro- Wrestling Africa does not only exhibit this leadership trait but is a personification of leadership who has used his wealth of experience, time , intellect and resources to change the face of professional wrestling not only in the West Coast of Africa but the entire African continent and the world at large.

Olukoya is a towering figure in African professional wrestling, with a career spanning nearly four decades and for those who do not know, he wears many caps in wrestling administration;

Apart from serving as Secretary General, Pro- Wrestling Africa ( PWA), a body saddled with the promotion of professional wrestling in the entire African continent, he’s also the Director of Publicity, Nigeria Pro‑Wrestling Federation (NPWF)
Executive Director, Pro‑Wrestling Afrik Promotions Ltd (registered in Nigeria),
Chief Operating Officer & Board Member, Golden Wrestling Federacy (GWF) based in Florida, USA, under Dr. Jim McDowell and President, AIWF Africa; , a position earned through decades of contribution to the growth of the mats man game

A well travelled man who has tranvered all the continents of the world in the cause of promoting wrestling, he’s also a publisher whose long-running Wrestling Update, covering Nigerian and African wrestling locally and internationally has helped shape the knowledge of wrestlers about the sport

Known as the “The African Wrestling Encyclopedia” or “Mr. African Pro-Wrestling” for his vast knowledge and influence, Olukoya has through his administrative acumen not only given hope to a lot of fighters but has also helped in introducing the game in such countries as Liberia, Cote d’Ivoire, Burkina- Faso, Ghana and most recently, Benin Republic and Togo.

In order to ensure the further popularization of the sport, he has promoted wrestling and organized championships in countries such as Ghana, Togo, Benin Republic, Liberia, Cameroon, and Nigeria thereby laying strong foundations for the sport as well as engaged with European, American, and Asian wrestling bodies, connecting African talent to global platforms.

He was also instrumental in launching training programmes organized by Pro- Wrestling Africa in Benin Republic and Togo and recently took Nigerian wrestlers to Belgium (Brussels Young Wrestling Style ) to learn advance techniques of the sport.

In recognition of his numerous contributions to professional wrestling, he has reciewed many awards including the Mike Bamidele Professional Wrestling Award for outstanding contribution to African pro -wrestling with his 60th birthday in mid-2025 covered by major sports outlets, recognizing his monumental contributions

Olusesan Olukoya is more than an administrator: he’s a journalist, promoter, historian, activist, and mentor. Dubbed a “crusader” for African wrestling, his efforts-from grassroots initiatives to international collaborations-have shaped the sport’s growth and it’s visibility across the continent.

A seasoned administrator of high repute, a gentleman per excellence, a leader with listening ears and very humane. He paddles affairs of wrestlers with high level of administrative dexterity.
