Smart City over run Beyond Limits In Lagos

Smart City FC of Lagos on Saturday got the better of their NNL opponents, Beyond Limits FC, with a 2-0 resounding victory, at the Mobolaji Johnson stadium Onikan, Lagos, state.

The encounter, which was well battled out, saw both teams displaying genuine intentions to win the game, but it was Smart City, who were Smarter and more clinical enough in the game, and they took all three points at stake, leaving their opponents going home empty handed.

City took the game to their opponents from the start to the end of the game, and City’s pressure paid off early, as their talented striker, Kalu Daniel, mesmerised beyond limits defense, before laying a delicious low cross for Monday Emmanuel who finished brilliantly, with a low shot, that beat Beyond Limits goalkeeper, to put city ahead.

Beyond limits didn’t want to lie down and get rolled over, they came out to fight for an equaliser, but City stood their ground and made sure they killed off their opponents, with the second goal, scored again by Monday Emmanuel and well assisted by Kalu Daniel, City went into the break with a well deserved first half lead.

The second half was totally explosive as the first half, as both teams attacked each other very well with some display of fine football to the delight of the fans, but all efforts by beyond limits to get something from the game, proved abortive, as City stood their ground to end the game with a clean sheet.
