Soccer Body, GRAFTADEAN, Mourns Olubadan’s Demise, Extols Late Monarch’s Peaceful Nature

The Grassroots Football Talents Developers Association of Nigeria (GRAFTADEAN), the country’s leading grassroots soccer organization, has extended their heartfelt condolences to the family of Oba Owolabi Olakulehin, the Olubadan of Ibadanland; Oyo State Governor Engr. Oluseyi Abiodun Makinde, FNSE; Otun Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Abdul-Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja; the Central Council of Ibadan Indigene (CCII); the Ibadan mogajis; and the good people of Ibadanland.
According to a statement released and approved by Prince Wasiu Oloyede Asanike and Engineer Afolabi Waheed Aderemi on behalf of GRAFTADEAN BOTs-in-Council, Oba Owolabi Olakulehin’s departure was a huge loss for the historic city and the Yoruba people as a whole.
“The sudden passage of the Olubadan of Ibadanland has sent shockwaves throughout the ancient city; hence, we as a soccer body are commiserating with all sons and daughters of Ibadan both at home and in the diaspora.”
However, the statement prayed for peace and prosperity for Ibadanland under the Olubadan designate’s leadership and complimented the monarch’s wisdom and calm character.
The GRAFTADEAN’s homage is evidence of the late Olubadan’s lasting influence, which will keep the people of Ibadanland inspired and united.
