It was an impactful experience for young footballers in Lagos as Spires Media hosted a first of its kind “Sports Meet Tech” initiative.
The week long program designed to train players from the ongoing Spires 5-Aside Naija Street Soccer Tournament on modern skills outside their football career commenced on Monday at Spires headquarters in Victoria lsland.
The event done in collaboration with (TDL) Translantic Development Ltd and the Centre for Sustainability and Participatory Development (CSPD) is prime to train the players on advance skills such as Microsoft office application, Coding, Artificial Intelligence, Machine learning, amongst others.
As anticipated, the opening day which attracted a large number of participants gave an insight to the concept as the players were tutored on the use of Microsoft Office and its relevant applications by IT expert and instructor Mr. Martin Olorunlomojo.
The subsequent sessions will cover a broader spectrum Tech and other relevant knowledge to help the participants compete beyond the football pitch.
