NNL boss lauds Gusau over referee’s indemnities

Chairman of Nigeria National League, (NNL), Mr. George Aluo has commended the President of Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), Alhaji Ibrahim Musa Gusau over prompt payment of referees indemnities.

He made the commendation while fielding questions in a popular WhatsApp group, Sports World platform on Monday.

According to the Imo State born football administrator, the NFF helmsman deserves commendation for his vision in ensuring Nigeria referees perform optimally at their job which has drastically reduced the incidence of teams winning at all cost.
He also spoke on the importance of corporate organisations involvement in the second tier league as GTI is presently doing with the premiership which has removed a lot of burdens from the NPFL.
” I want to use this opportunity to once more appeal to corporate organisations to partner with the most important league in the country just as GTI is doing with the NPFL which has reduced a lot of financial burden on the league body.

” When you look at the Premier League, you will discover that GTI is in charge of referees indemnities and that takes a lot of burden off the NPFL but for us in the second tier League, we do not have anybody taking this burden off us and that’s why I’m appealing to corporate Nigeria to come forward and support us financially”, he stressed

Aluo noted that even with the meagre resources at their disposal, they’ve been able to ensure that referees indemnities are paid noting that the credit goes to the NFF President, who has supported them in every way possible.
