

Super Eagles’ No.1 goalkeeper Stanley Nwabali on Thursday announced his departure from South African club Chippa United.
Nwabali who was part of the Nigerian team at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Morocco where they won the bronze medal after they defeated Egypt has seen speculations on his future trail his performance at the tournament.
Nwabali in a tweet on his verified x handle @stanleybobo, declared his leave from the club.
“It was more than a family❤️. To my lovely teammates, dear coaches, amazing fans and great chairman. As I stand here to say farewell, a part of me will always remain with this club. I wish you success and happiness in the seasons ahead.Thank you and farewell. Until we meet again”
His farewell comments on his departure were earlier corroborate by his club who thanked him for his valuable years of “service, dedication and professionalism.”

Both parties were silent on his next destination on his club career.
However, there are talks that “Chief” Nwabali might move to bigger PSL rivals Kaizer Chiefs in the coming days.
