Supporters Club National Chairman Ikpea To Storm Awka For ‘Sip & Reason’ Campaign

National Chairman of Nigeria Football Supporters Club, Rev. Ambassador Samuel Ikpea will on December, 19, 2025 lead a powerful delegation to Awka, the Anambra State Capital to witness the Sip & Reason campaign being put together by that state’s chapter of the club.

The Sip & Reason campaign is being organized to remind governments at all levels, corporate sponsors, sports philanthropists, and all lovers of football in Anambra State, the importance of building a modern grassroots football infrastructures and support systems for early discovery of football talents, proper grooming, motivations, and guiding of such talents through all stages of development till international stardom.
Throwing more light on the event, chairman of Anambra State chapter of the club, Izuchukwu Udegbunam who also doubles as Chief Executive Officer of Bunubunu Culture and Sporting Company Limited explained that the event which is slated for Royal Swiss Palace, Nodu-Okpuno, Awka is expected to attract all lovers of Football, including all past and present football heroes in the state and beyond.
He listed some of the legends and important personalities that will be part of the programme to include; former Green Eagles goalkeeper and living legend , Pa Emmanuel Okaka ( MON) who will be the father of the day, while former Super Eagles Defender, Chikelue Iloenyosi A.K.A General, Chairman of Anambra State Football Association will serve as chairman of the occasion.

Chairman Anambra State Sports Development Commission ( Special Guest of Honor ) and Amb. Chibuzor Ekwenye
Chief Host & Convener.

Udegbunam appealed to all Nigerians to join hands with Nigeria Football Supporters Club in their plan for the country to win the FIFA World Cup in the nearest future through reviving grassroots football programs in primary, secondary and tertiary institutions, traders football championships, communal football championships and even street football competitions.
