Owan West boss, Ilaboya congratulates Obaseki on his re-election

Nigeria’s foremost ace Sports Journalist and Executive Chairman of Owan West Council, Hon. Frank Ilaboya, has congratulated Edo State Governor, Mr. Godwin Obaseki and his Deputy, Rt. Hon. Philip Shaibu, on their victory at the just concluded Governorship election in the State.
Governor Godwin Obaseki, the PDP candidate polled a total of 307,955 votes to defeat his opponent, Mr. Osagie Ize-Iyamu of the APC, who scored a total 223,619 votes.
In a Special Press Release personally signed by the Council Chairman and made available to Press Men by his Chief Press Secretary, Hassan Otinau, Hon Ilaboya paid a glowing tributes to the governor and his administrative acumen which has stood Edo State and her people out in the past four years.
“I want to specially say congratulations to the man who God has destined to win and govern Edo State for the next four years.
“It was one of the the longest and toughest electioneering campaigns ever in the history of Edo Politics, but thank God for giving us victory, a well deserved one for that matter.
“Edo people spoke loudly and clearly that we are a collection of people whose voices and will must be respected at a decisive moment like this.
“It was a battle between godfather and the good people of the state, a battle of light over darkness, and as always, the voice of the people remain the voice of God.
“We give God all the glory for making what the doubting Thomases think was impossible possible.
“I have no doubt that the next four year will witness another phase of taking Edo State to enviable level that will make the citizens and indeed all Nigerians very proud of the governor and his team.”
Hon Ilaboya also thanked the good of Owan West for voting massively for Governor Obaseki, saying, “my people kept to their promise by speaking loudly through the ballot. Thank you so much for believing in the 4+4 project. We will keep going higher together with the “Wake And See Governor.”
It would be recalled that the Owan West Boss had consistently maintained that Governor Obaseki’s re-election in the Local Government “was not negotiable.”
