Above 50 Football: Oyefeso reassures on Nigeria/Brazil international friendly

International Coordinator of Above 50 football championship, Are Ademola Oyefeso says that there is no going back in the planned international friendly game between the country’s Above 50 football team and their counterparts from Brazil even as he stated that the Samba men are ready, waiting for Nigeria to select their team.
He gave the reassurance Sunday, July, 28 during the unveiling of the Above 50 Mini-Olympics Logo held at Ostra Hotel Alausa Ikeja, Lagos.
According to the international arts and music promoter who is based in the United States of America he’s working assiduously hard to ensure that the match happens even as he stated that the President of Above 50 Football who also doubles as President of Ikeja Chamber of Commerce Industry and Agriculture Ambassador Dr. Edward Olutoke is putting finishing touches to logistics for the game.
“I can tell you that the international friendly between Nigerian Above 50 football team and their Brazilian counterparts is going to happen very soon.
“The South Americans are ready and waiting for us to pick our team. Apart from this Mexico is also interested in playing international friendly with Nigeria and the good news is that the President, Ambassador Dr. Edward Olutoke is ready and eager to see that the game is held and we’re working seriously towards it “, he stressed.
He however advised the technical crew of the team to ensure they avoid favouritism and sentiment in selecting the players positing that they should always go for the best legs.

My advise to the technical crew of our team is to ensure they pick the best players . They should avoid all types of favouritism and sentiment in their final selection of players that will represent the country internationally”, he concluded.
Above 50 football tournament is an initiative of Ambassador Dr. Edward Olutoke and it’s aimed at making retired national and international players compete among themselves, network and keep fit.
