NBBF PREMIER LEAGUE: Kida congratulates Kwara Falcons, charges team on better preparations for continental campaign

President of Nigeria Basketball Federation, Engr. Musa Kida has congratulated Kwara Falcons for winning the 2022 NBBF Premier league final 8 competition, played last Saturday in Lagos.
Speaking with journalists after the final game of the Final 8, Kida said Kwara Falcons were deserving champions, as they put their youthfulness and hunger for glory to bear in the matches they played.
“I congratulate Kwara Falcons for emerging champions of NBBF Premier league. They performed really well and I also congratulate the officials, too. The lads brought their youthfulness and hunger for glory to their games,” Kida remarked.
The highly regarded NBBF boss equally expressed his satisfaction with the standard of play and the discipline exhibited by the teams during the competition.
“Contrary to some pessimistic views on the NBBF final 8 and the readiness of the teams prior to the competition, the standard of play, tactical discipline of the teams, the hunger and excitement to play the game, finally proved that basketball is back and on the way forward in Nigeria.”
Kida went on to urge the management of Kwara Falcons to brace up for the BAL competition, by preparing better for the continental challenges.
He particularly admonished the Kwara State Government to give all necessary financial and moral support to the team. Adding that the NBBF is ready to support the team in its bids to do Nigeria proud during the BAL.
