Thrills and Goals Galore as Day 3 of Opeifa Cup 2025 Heats Up

The 2025 Lagos State Secondary Schools Handball Championship, Opeifa Cup, entered its third day on Wednesday, October 29, with intense matches across both the senior and junior girls’ categories producing thrilling moments and standout performances.

In the senior girls’ category, Keke Senior High School fell 1–3 to CMS Grammar School, while Creek Senior High School edged past Cardoso Senior High School 2–1 in a tightly contested encounter.

Jagunmolu Girls and United Christian College settled for a 1–1 draw in their first meeting, but Jagunmolu later stamped their dominance with an emphatic 5–1 victory over Girls Senior High School.

Government College Agege and Lagos City College played out a balanced 1–1 draw, but Government College later returned to snatch a slim 1–0 win over United Christian College in a cagey fixture.

In the junior girls’ matches, Igbobi Junior High School narrowly lost 1–2 to Herbert Macaulay Junior High School, while Ikeja Junior Girls and Government College ended goalless.
Government College bounced back strongly to defeat Dolphin Junior School 3–1 in their second game of the day.

Muslim Junior College and United Christian Junior School were in ruthless form, both recording identical 10–0 victories over Okesuna Junior School and Greek Junior School respectively.

Dolphin Junior School also shone with a comfortable 5–0 win over Ikeja Junior Girls while United Christian Junior School had a dominant day with another win, beating Government College 3–0.
