U.A.M.C Set For 84th Annual Conference – Jinmi Ahisu

The United African Methodist Church (UAMC) Organisation has unveiled plans for the hosting of the 84th Annual Conference of the Organisation billed to hold in the City of Sagamu, Ogun State.

According to the Chairman of the Central Planning Committee of the Conference, Chief Jinmi Ahisu, the Annual Conference will hold from Friday, January 30 to Sunday, February 1, 2026.

He said: “We are set to hold this year’s Conference of the Organisation from Friday, January 30 to Sunday, February 1, 2026 at our Cathedral church in Sagamu, Ogun State.

“Members of the Central Planning Committee for the Conference including the Lay President – Prince Adeyanju Oladapo Ogunlewe are expected to arrive Sagamu on Thursday, January 29 in preparation for the Conference while other Executive members and delegates are expected to arrive on Friday, January 30 for the opening ceremony”.

Ahisu said HRM Alaiyeluwa Oba Victor Babatunde Ajayi – the Akarigbo of Remoland will lead other four prominent monarchs to the Conference.

According to him, the monarchs include HRM Oba Timothy Akinsanya (JP) – the Ewusi of Makun Kingdom, Sagamu; HRM Alaiyeluwa Oba Israel Adewale Okoya (JP) – the Onibereko of Ibereko Kingdom, Badagry, Lagos as well as HRM Alayeluwa Oba Moroof Oyekunle Atanda Tijani Amodu Oluwa – the Olu of Iwa & Apapa Kingdom.

Speaking on the Conference, the General Secretary – Conference and Conference Standing Committee of the Organisation, Bro. Bunmi Kuti, said about 500 delegates from churches under the Mission in Nigeria and Republic of Benin are expected to attend this year’s Conference.

Kuti said: “the Special Guest of Honour will be the Assistant Inspector General (AIG) of Police in charge of Lagos and Ogun States – Mr. Adegoke Mustapha Fayode while the Commissioner of Police in charge of Ogun State, Mr. Lanre Ogunlowo will be the Special Guest among other dignitaries.

Highlights of the Conference will be the consecration of a new Bishop for the Organisation as well as commissioning of new ministers on Sunday, February 1.

During the Conference Sunday on February 1, two outstanding members of the Organisation that have contributed immensely to the development of the church would be bestowed with the awards of Distinguished Member of the Order of African Methodism (DMOAM).

They are President and First Vice President of the Women Fellowship of the Organisation – Elder Chief Sis. Folashade Olufunmilayo Ajayi (JP) and Elder Dr. Sis. Mojirayo Ogunlewe respectively.

The Women Fellowship and other organs of the Organisation will hold their syndicate sessions on Friday, January 30 while the Conference proper will hold on Saturday, January 31.
