Why we want to honour Ikpea- Pro- wrestling Africa scribe

Secretary General of Pro-Wrestling Africa, Olusesan Olukoya has given reasons why the wrestling body chose the National Chairman of Nigeria Football Supporters Club, Rev Ambassador Samuel Ikpea as one of it’s awardees this year.
Ikpea an astute sports administrator will on Sunday, December, 24, 2023 during the end of year wrestling extravaganza at the Wrestling Arena of the National Stadium, Surulere, Lagos along with other notable Nigerians receive an ‘Award of Excellence For Service to Humanity’ from the wrestling body
Speaking on the choice of Ikpea, Olukoya noted that his activities as National Chairman of Supporters Club goes beyond supporting football as he has led members of the club to support other sports at both local and international scenes and as such deserves to be honoured
” Rev. Ikpea is an astute sports administrator and ambassador. His style of inclusive leadership has made the Supporters Club a household name in the country.
“Under his leadership, the club has received various awards of recognition from both FIFA and CAF. “He has not limited his support to football alone as he ensures that the club gives maximum support to other sports be it at the All African Games, Commonwealth, Olympics or Paralympic Games ; infact, he’s a friend of wrestlers.
“Apart from his involvement in sports supportership, he’s also a great mobilizer and philanthropist and as such he deserves our award”, concluded Olukoya.
