NPFL CLUB OWNERS MOURN NIGER TORNADOES CURATOR

Chairman of Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) Club Owners Association, chief Okey Kpalukwu has described the death of Niger Tornadoes curator, Abdullahi Jibril as tragic and unfortunate.
In his condolence message to the management of Niger Tormadoes, Chief Kpalukwu prayed for the repose of the soul of the deceased who died in the early hours of Thursday on his way home after the teams training session.

“The death of Abdullahi Jibril has come to the Club Owners Association as a rude shock, and we commiserate with one of us, Engineer Ibrahim Dada, chairman of Niger Tormadoes, the management, players and everyone connected with the team. It’s a big blow because Jibril was said to be loveable and an easy going person who carried out his duties diligently for about three decades. This tells how dedicated he was to the club. May his soul rest in peace”.
In his response, Engineer Dada said the club will miss Sara as he was fondly called by Niger Tornadoes fans.
“Jibril’s death is really a sad one. He participated in our training this morning as we prepare for Sunday’s away game in Ilorin against Kwara United and he left for home when we were done. We however received the sad news a few hours later that he slumped but died on his way to the hospital”, revealed the club chairman.
The deceased who was 48 years old left behind an aged mother, brothers and sisters.
He has since been buried.
