WAFU B tourney: Aluo Commends Bayelsa Queens’ fighting spirit

Chairman of Nigeria National League ( NNL) and leader of the country’s delegation to the ongoing women WAFU B tournament in Cote d’Ivoire , Mr. George Aluo has commended Bayelsa Queens for their determination and fighting spirit which has earned them a place in the finals
Speaking shortly after the team defeated USFA of Burkina Faso 2-1 in the semi- finals of the tournament, Aluo hailed the team’s performance noting that they’re a very disciplined side with the quality and character to win the championship.
” I want to commend Bayelsa Queens for their discipline, doggedness , determination and fighting spirit since the commencement of this championship and I want to say that I’m proud of their performance.
“The team is well coordinated and playing well and I have no doubt in my mind that they’ll emerge victorious at the end of hostilities”, he sounded with confidence.
Aluo also used the occasion to commend the Nigerian Embassy in Cote d’Ivoire for ensuring that the team is comfortable since arriving the country and was particularly happy with His Excellency Robert Akperguun who personally watched the semi- final clash.
“It’s equally important that I thank the Nigerian Embassy in Cote d’Ivoire for their warm reception and ensuring that the team is comfortable. His Excellency Robert Terlumum Akpenuun personally watched the semi- finals and promised to be back on Friday for the finals. I really appreciate him for the love he has shown to the team”, he stressed
Meanwhile Bayelsa Queens’ will on Friday meet home side ASEC Mimosas in the final on Friday at CKB Stadium, Yamoussoukro. The Ivoriens defeated Police Ladies of Ghana 4-1 in the second semi- final match to book a place in the finals
