NFF president, Gusau leads Nigeria’s delegation at on going CAF Congress

The President of Nigeria football federation ( NFF) Alhaji Ibrahim Gusau is leading a powerful delegation of the nation’s soccer federation at the on going CAF Congress in Abidjan.

Gusau is with his first Vice President, Felix Anyansi Agwu and Secretary General Dr Mohammed Sanusi.

The one day Congress opened today in the Ivorian capital.

Gusau had before arriving Ivory Coast attended to another important football assignment in Morocco.

The Nigerian delegation has been engaged in several meetings with African football stakeholders on how to move the game forward in the country.

The draw for the 2026 FIFA World Cup African qualifiers would be done later today in Abidjan.

CAF President Dr Patrice Motsepe had in his welcome address noted that the future of African football is bright…”Indeed, the future of African football is bright,” were his words.

It promises to be a busy week for the Nigerian football buffs as the Super Falcons prepare to begin their campaign at the FIFA Women’s World Cup in Australia and New Zealand.
