West African Deaf Tourney : Liberia Thrash Togo 3-0 To Go Top of Group B

The Liberian National Deaf Football team on Friday thrashed Togo 3-0 to be on top of Group B table of the on-going 13th West Africa Deaf Football tournament holding in Abuja.
Unlike the defending champions, the Deaf Eagles of Nigeria that played a goalless first half against Code D’Ivoire in their Group A opening game on Thursday, Liberia tested the strength of their opponents with an early goal in the first half.
Though the goal was followed by so many misses in front of the Togolese goal post as all efforts to increase the tally before the end of the first half proved abortive.
But having received enough pep talk from their technical crew, the Liberians came into the second half charged like wounded lions and looking more purposeful in front of their opponent goal area with sporadic attack and precised shooting
Their determination and resilience eventually paid off in the 68th when the they were rewarded with the second goal .
However, not done yet, the legendary George Weah tacticians felt that if Nigeria could humiliate Cote D’ Ivoire 3-0 in the opening game, nothin stops them from achieving the same.
So they went all out for consolidation and got rewarded towards the dying minute of the second half to rap up the game 3-0.
