Chief Emeka Agba promises exciting boxing promotion

..As boxers talk tough ahead of fight

Chief Executive Officer of Emeka Agba Boxing Promotions, Chief Emeka Agba says the maiden boxing tournament he is organising on Sunday will be very exciting with an assurance to boxing fans that there won’t be any dull moment in all the six bouts lined up for the day.
Emeka Agba Boxing Promotions, a subsidiary of Chief Emeka Agba Foundation will on Sunday be officially unveiled as one of the top boxing promoters in the country.
The event tagged “Ring Metadors’ and sanctioned by the Nigerian Boxing Board of Control (NBB of C) is slated for the Brai Ayenote Boxing Hall of the National Stadium Surulere Lagos and Chief Emeka Agba explained to newstap.com.ng that his coming into boxing business is to take youths out of the streets as well as make talented boxers achieve their potentials in the pugilist game.
“My outfit is coming into boxing promotion inorder to change the narratives of Nigerian boxing and make this country the Las Vegas of African boxing.
” We intend to help boxers achieve their full potentials in the game, take youths out of the streets; thereby reducing crime in the society as well as boast the country’s image”, began Chief Agba who is the Odagbulu ife Dagbulu Enyi of Igboland.
” This country boasts of talented fighters who if well exposed are capable of winning world titles for this country and what we want to do is to identify some of these boxers that will be on our card and through us get adequate exposure and opportunity to fight at the highest level”, he stressed.
Chief Emeka Agba further emphasized that gate fee for the fight will be N100,000 for VVIP while that of the VIP is N50,000 positing that the high gate fee is to ensure that hardworking boxers get reasonable purse at the end of the fight just as he urged boxing fans to troop out in their hundreds to witness the best boxing promotion in recent times.
Meanwhile, some of the boxers have been talking tough ahead of the fights, promising their fans that they won’t disappoint.
Speaking ahead of his fight, Soldier boy, Godwin Ambrose who will be meeting Samuel Ebohen in a National Cruiserweight Challenge Contest in the main bout of the day declared that he’s not afraid of his opponent with an assurance that the fight will not last the distance.
Also speaking, his opponent, Ebohen declared that he’s not afraid of meeting his Soldier opponent because the ring is not a war front and only the best will emerge victorious.
“I’m fully prepared for my opponent. Although he’s a Soldier but only two of us will be in the ring and the best fighter will carry the day”, he stressed.
