Wike extols Peter Obi, charges him to ignore ‘bad belle’ criticism from home

Rivers State governor, Nyesom Wike was today full of praise for Labour Party’s presidential candidate, Peter Obi in Port Harcourt.
Wike spoke during the commissioning of the Nkpolu-Oroworokwo flyover in the Garden City with Obi as his Special Guest.
The Rivers governor said he decided to invite Obi to commission the project because he (Obi) also worked when he was governor of Anambra state.
“You worked very well when you were in charge in Anambra State and this is why I invited you to commission this project,” Wike said.
Wike charged Obi not to be bothered by the criticism he was getting from home (Anambra) declaring that it is borne out of what he called ‘bad belle, envy and jealousy.’
“Some people are just being envious and jealous of where God is taking you to. Don’t bother because that is the same thing I am facing in Rivers where some people stay in Abuja and be fighting me. Don’t be bothered by the rubbish being churned out by those criticizing you.”
Wike stressed that rather than fight Obi those in charge today in Anambra should showcase what they can do…”if you are a professor, professor well, if you are a doctor, doctor well, if you are a mechanic mechanic well…” Wike said.
