World Cup Playoffs: Okumagba Demands Super Eagles Victory as Perfect Birthday Gift

As sports fraternities in Nigeria and many parts of the world have been sending their wishes to Prince Vincent Okumagba, the chairman of the Unified Nigeria Supporters Club, who added another year today, he has demanded a resounding victory from the Super Eagles against DR Congo in today’s 2026 World Cup qualifiers game in Stade Mohammed V in Rabat, Morocco.
While the occasion was filled with joy and reflection, Okumagba’s biggest birthday request is far from materialistic; it is patriotic, as he sent a strong message to the Super Eagles ahead of today’s must-win clash.
He urged the players to channel their determination and skill into securing a crucial win, emphasizing the pride of the nation resting on their shoulders.
As the supporters club rallies behind the team, the atmosphere will be electric with anticipation for a thrilling match that could pave the way for Nigeria’s journey to the World Cup.
“I give God the glory for another day to witness my birthday anniversary,” he told the sporting press from his hotel in Rabat, Morocco. He emphasized, “I hope the Super Eagles can secure a victory against DR Congo today, making it a double celebration.” That would be the best gift for me.”
“Everyone is aware of the importance of winning the game in order to advance from the African playoffs. I’m sure you can succeed. For me, the ideal birthday present would be a victory.
“I’ll be at the stand with my members to cheer you on to win, and I wish you the best of luck”, he said
The Super Eagles are aware that today’s final will be their biggest test in the campaign to qualify for the World Cup, as a playoff position is now only one game away.
