Wrestling Federation pay condolence visit to late Amos Ojo family

The Nigeria Wrestling Federation has paid a condolence visit to the family of late coach Amos Ojo on Sunday in Abeokuta
Recall, Amos Adekunle Ojo died on Monday 17th February 2025, after being part of the Nigerian wrestling team for over a decade, where he became multiple Commonwealth games gold medalist, multiple African games gold medalist among others in the 48kg.
He also made two appearances at the Seoul 1988 and Barcelona 1992 Olympics.
The representative of the sports administrators’ association in the board of the Nigeria Wrestling Federation, Dr. Jude Amadi, accompanied by other board members, on behalf of the Wrestling Federation president, Hon. Daniel Igali and other board members expressed sadness over the passing of Amos Ojo
“On behalf of the Wrestling Federation president, board members, i sincerely extend our heart-felt condolences to you, Amos Adekunle Ojo was a friend and colleague with a unique character and admirable personality.”
“We pray that the good Lord strengthens the family, and everyone connected to him.” Amadi stated.
