10 Teams Battle For Maiden AFH Pre-season Tournament

A total of 10 teams are battle -ready to participate at the inaugural edition of African Football Holding (AFH) Pre-Season Tournament designed specifically for clubs in the Nigeria National League (NNL) and the Nationwide League One (NLO) as part of their preparations ahead of the 2026/2027 football league season.
The tournament scheduled to commence on Thursday, 15 October to Saturday, 24 October, 2026, will be held at the MKO Abiola Stadium, Abeokuta.
The tournament will be played based on the league format with the four top teams advancing automatically to the Semi-finals.
The overall winners of the competition will pocket a whooping N2m prize money while the runners up will go home with N1m. The semi-final losers will receive N500,000 each as there will also be an Italian giant trophy for the winners and branded gold and silver medals to be issued to the finalists.
All the matches will be live – streamed organisers have assured, with top European scouts on the ground to identify, promote and market stand out players.
