Minister of State For Petroleum to donate drugs worth millions of naira to UUTH
The Minister of State For Petroleum, in charge of Gas Resources,
Obongemem Ekperikpe Ekpo has offered to bear the cost of drugs and all medication needed to stock up the Pharmacy unit of the newly reconstructed Accident and Emergency Unit of the University of Uyo Teaching Hospital, UUTH Uyo.
He stated this during the commissioning of the unit on Tuesday, December 12, 2023. The project was funded by the Nigeria LNG Limited with the hope that it will reduce death caused by accidents and all forms of emergency needs in the State.
The reconstruction project involved renovation and expansion of Theatre Suites to accommodate a 2 bed recovery space, installation of oxygen piping and manifolds in the entire facility and many more.
The Secretary to the State Government, Prince Enobong Uwah, speaking on behalf of the State Governor, Pastor Umo Eno, said the project as envisioned and commissioned by the NLNG is a welcome development in the State . And pledged to lend a hand of fellowship in anything that is going to ensure the well-being of the people of Akwa Ibom State.
