2027: I understand the problems of Mbaitoli State Constituency, says Ikuku Oma

Barely one month to the People’s Democratic Party, PDP primaries for 2027 political dispensation, Hon Anthony Chigozie Odunze popularly known as Ikuku Oma Mbaitoli says he understands the problems of the people of Mbaitoli State Constituency in Imo State, and that he is the best man for the job among the avalanche of aspirants jostling to represent the constitutency in the State Assembly.

Odunze disclosed this Wednesday while addressing leaders, chieftains, stakeholders and the political party faithful at the party’s council area Secretariat, Nwaorieubi about his inundate patriotic and divinely driven ambition to represent the constitutency in the State Assembly.

The aspirant who’s a youthful politician, and an expert in Strategic Peace and Conflict Studies informed that he is a man endowed with philanthropic gestures, “because am firm believer that the essence of God’s blessings is for you to be an instrument of blessing to others. I don’t need people to praise me on this, because I do it out of my compassionate volition of giving back to the society by sacrificially helping humanity and rendering charitable services. Happiness of others, is always my fulfilment”.

The founder and financier of Odunze Creativity Club further informed that the Non Governmental Organization, NGO have built houses for many indigent persons, and for years they have been offering scholarships and distributing exercise books to both primary and secondary schools in Mbaitoli.

He also pointed out that, “many youths of Mbaitoli have been empowered through my regular self sponsored skills acquisition training programmes.

“All my philanthropic claims are verifiable. Am a humane proud man, I don’t talk what I can’t do. Am a home boy. I live with the people. I understand their problems and needs.

“As an individual, am doing my best but the problems are enormous that needs prudent management of common resources for the benefits of all and herein lies my vision and mission of asking for your mandate to represent the good people of Mbaitoli State Constituency in the State House of Assembly.

The House of Assembly hopeful recalled that he has ran for the same position before, and his aspiration is anchored on his compassionate and patriotic desires for effective and qualitative representations of the State Constituency.

Odunze re-emphasized that he has equally traversed all the nooks and crannies of Mbaitoli, and lamented that the people lack basic government infrastructural development and transformational presence especially in terms of good roads network, ultra modern health facilities among other socio-economic amenities, insisting that the people deserves something better through effective and compassionate representations.

According to him, “qualitative representations demands courage, boldness, intelligence and network, all these or more I have. Am willing for the sacrifice, I will never be a rubber stamp legislator, by the Grace of God, am abundantly blessed. My desire in life, is just to be an instrument of touching more lives, I understand the game, am a Master when it comes to lobbying.

“Moreso, I live with the people, I understand their pains and they know me. Honestly, it’s a total regret that Mbaitoli State Constituency for the past eight years or more, lacks people oriented representation.

“This is certainly beyond politics and rhetorics, you must understand the people’s problems before you could be able to solve it. Because am involved, I understand the problems of Mbaitoli people and in all sincerity of purpose, am the best man for the job.

“Please you people should send me, Mr. Anthony Chigozie Odunze, the son of late Chief Chigozie Odunze,(Ochonma) from Ochi Ogwa ngaaa in Mbaitoli LGA of Imo State, I present myself for this patriotic mission.

“The job is not all about sentiment nor brotherhood, but rather who will deliver, and believe me, am the man, most suitable for the job, thus, I present myself, Anthony Chigozie Odunze, nwa Ogwa ngaa. The gospel truth is that, as people oriented person,I will make you people proud” he re-assured.

Odunze also said it point blank that, It’s the collective responsibilities of members of the political party to ensure that the party reclaims the State government house, Owerri and vowed to invest his personal resources in PDP gubernatorial election.

He thumbed up the sterling leadership of Senator Samuel Anyanwu (Sam daddy), the National Secretary of the party in the State and enjoined all to support his governorship ambition.

Responding, Nze Uchenna Ojini, the PDP council area Chairman applauded the aspirant for his courage and identification with the party leaders.

Ojini advised him on the need to intensify his campaign and reiterated the need for the recognitions of supremacy of the political party.

Mazi Nati Iwuagwu, the political apex leader of PDP in Mbaitoli expressed gratitude for the strengthening of the political party based on oneness and unity of purpose.

Iwuagwu who also expressed happiness over restoration of peace and stability in the political party within the council area, recalling that what political detractors described as internal wranglings, bickering and fractionalization within the party were mere usual family jokes aimed at strengthening the political party.

Chief Chris Chinedu, an apex leader in Umuagwu/ Umunoha ward further commended the aspirant for what he described as “powerful and courageous speech” and assured of the readiness of the political party in presenting their best eleven in all the elective positions.

Hon.Geofrey Ihentuge, the Owerri Senatorial Zone Vice Chairman of PDP reiterated the supremacy of party in the politics of political party.

Ihentuge advised against exploiting the aspirants reminding them that the political party is still in opposition and candidates of the party needs to fund their general elections.

While, Hon. Henry Amajioyi, the PDP LGA Youth Leader lamented that members of the political party in Imo State have really suffered and made serious sacrifices.

Amajioyi canvassed on the need for the political party’s leadership to consider pay back, he also passionately advised the political party’s delegates to always give optimal considerations in giving the party’s tickets to people that will win and protect their elections.

Also in attendance for the historical declaration were Messrs; Edith Nwachi, Chinyere Onyeise and Chinyere the State Woman Leader, the Owerri and Orlu women leaders respectively and Hon. Appollos Godspower, the Owerri Municipal Chairman among others.
