COEASU thumbs up Uzodimma for reappointment of Nwadike

Following the recent reappointment of Prof. Johncliff Nwadike as Imo State Commissioner of Education, the Colleges of Education Academic Staff Union, COEASU of Imo State College of Education, Ihitte Uboma led by Comrade Samuel Wilson has commended Governor Hope Uzodimma for the reappointment.
Wilson who disclosed this on Tuesday while addressing news men in Owerri on the state of education in the State described Nwadike as a strategic and innovative educational administrator with passion for global orders.
While congratulating the Commissioner for his meritorious second rescue mission to the State Ministry of Education, the COEASU boss also applauded Governor Uzodimma for his visionary leadership and purposeful governance, insisting that the Commissioner has the road map for educational upliftment and development in the state and Nigeria at Large.
He pointed out that, it’s probably Nwadike’s score card in educational development and upliftment that warranted the Governor into yearning to people’s opinions for his reappointment.
Wilson recalled the inputs the Commissioner made towards ensuring his Institution’s engagement in maiden accreditation of her courses by the visitation panel of National Council of Colleges of Education, NCCE last March.
According to him, ” we are glad, that this milestone achievement was done in the time of Prof. Johncliff Nwadike as the Commissioner for Education, Imo state”, even as he expressed optimism that the eminent Professor will continue to present Imo State College of Education, Ihitte/Uboma, in a good light before Senator Hope Uzodimma whom he described as,” educationally friendly Governor”.
The Union leader reiterated the need for the Commissioner to assist Imo State College of Education, Ihitte/Uboma to run Degree programmes with affiliation to Imo State University in the 2024/2025 academic session as a strategic means of boosting the institution’s goodwill and cash
Wilson further canvassed the need for the Commissioner to enjoin the Governor for domesticating the new Colleges of Education establishment act 2023 signed by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on 12th June, 2023, which repositions the Colleges of Education system in Nigeria.
He expressed gratitude to the Governor for looking inwards towards the reappointment of Prof. Johncliff Nwadike, reassuring that the erudite scholar will not bring embarrassment to his government.
