Rangers secured their 9th League title and 2nd in three years to emerge as the most successful club in Nigeria.
Rangers finished the season with 68 points, beating Rivers United to second spot with 67 points to end the season in dramatic form.
Defending champions Remo Stars were relegated after winning the title last season.
They thus joined Shooting Stars and Bayelsa United as champions that were relegated a season after they were crowned champions of the league.
