World Pro Wrestling to Stand Still for ‘Shaolin Master’ Nsimba Bafuka

The African professional wrestling community will turn its attention to Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of the Congo, this August as one of the continent’s most respected wrestling icons, Shaolin Master Nsimba Bafuka, bids farewell to an extraordinary in-ring career with a spectacular three-day retirement championship.

Kudos and a sincere appreciation to the President of the Federation – Congolaise de Catch (FECOCA), the Congo based organization facilitating the event, under the able leadership and auspices of Mambo Blaise, the president of the French national wrestling body.

The landmark event is expected to bring together elite professional wrestlers from Congo-Brazzaville, Angola, Togo, Nigeria, South Africa, and the Democratic Republic of the Congo, and from international field, of Belgium, France and England too would be well represented at the timely championship making it one of the largest gatherings of African and European wrestling talents in recent years making the event a world championship fight.

Recognized as an accomplished wrestler, trainer, and mentor, Shaolin Master Nsimba Bafuka has devoted decades to developing professional wrestling across Africa. His influence has extended far beyond championship victories, helping to nurture emerging wrestlers, organize international training camps, and strengthen cooperation among wrestling organizations throughout the continent.

The retirement championship will serve as both a celebration of his distinguished career and a showcase of African wrestling excellence. Over three action-packed days, fans will witness thrilling international matchups as competitors from six nations pay tribute to a man whose dedication has helped shape the growth of professional wrestling in Africa.

The championship is expected to feature title bouts, international exhibition matches, special tributes, and recognition ceremonies honouring Shaolin Master’s outstanding contributions to the sport. Wrestlers who have trained under him, competed alongside him, or been inspired by his work will gather to celebrate a legacy built on discipline, leadership, and an unwavering commitment to developing African talent.
