Iran war: Saudi Arabia calls on Trump to prioritise dialogue as Iran talks tough

US President Donald Trump says he has cancelled planned attacks on Iran “subject to being able to rapidly make a deal”.
Aljazeera reports that in a phone conversation with Trump, Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman has emphasised “the need to prioritize dialogue to reduce escalation and the importance of making every possible effort to achieve calm that paves the way for diplomatic solutions”.
Meanwhile, Iran has continued to talk tough with her Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi warning that any “aggression” by the US and Israel will be met with a “decisive and proportionate response”.
Israeli forces have killed at least 14 Palestinians, including several children, across the Gaza Strip since dawn.
