Pro- Wrestling Scribe, Olukoya Congratulates Adeleke On His Re- Election As Governor of Osun State

The Secretary General of Pro Wrestling Africa (PWA), Olusesan Olukoya, has congratulated His Excellency, Senator Ademola Adeleke, on his successful re-election as Governor of Osun State.

Governor Adeleke was declared winner of the August 15, 2026 Osun State governorship election by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), on Sunday 16th August, 2026.

In his congratulatory message, Olukoya described the victory as a fresh mandate and an opportunity for the Governor to consolidate on the achievements of his first term, while promoting greater development, youth empowerment, sports development and opportunities for the people of Osun State.

“On behalf of Pro Wrestling Africa, I warmly congratulate His Excellency, Senator Ademola Adeleke, on his re-election as the Governor of Osun State. We celebrate this democratic victory and wish the Governor a successful second term in office.”

Olukoya further called on the Governor to give greater attention to sports and youth development, noting that Osun State is blessed with talented young people who can contribute significantly to Nigeria’s sporting success when given the right platforms and opportunities, citing example of the former Light Heavyweight champion and a great trainer of appreciable repute, Late Mike Bamidele who hailed from Ipetu-Ijesha, a historic town located in Oriade Local Government Area of Osun State.

Also Wonderful Sholly who has his real name as Rasheed Ishola, former welterweight champion from Iwo town in Iwo Local Government area and Captain Abbey City (Abideen Bello) also a former middleweight champion of blessed memory who hailed from Ilesha in Osun State.

He expressed optimism that the Governor’s second term would bring renewed efforts towards grassroots sports development, youth empowerment, talent discovery and the promotion of Osun State as a destination for sporting activities.

“Pro Wrestling Africa believes that sports can unite communities, empower young people and create international opportunities for Nigerian talents.

“We look forward to seeing Osun State continue to play an important role in the development of Nigerian sports,” Olukoya said.

He wished Governor Adeleke wisdom, good health and success as he begins his second term, while also congratulating the people of Osun State on the successful conclusion of the election.
