Fizzie Republic Raises Copyright Concerns Over Portrait Pole Post Campaign Displays Board in Ibadan

Fizzie Republic has raised concerns over the alleged unauthorized use of its Portrait Pole Post (P3) advertising format in campaign displays across parts of the Ibadan metropolis.
In a statement signed by Mr.Fashogbon Abiodun David, identified by the organisation as the copyright owner of the P3 concept, Fizzie Republic alleged that advertising displays being used by the APM campaign organisation in September 2026 constitute infringements of its intellectual property rights.
The organisation specifically referenced campaign activities associated with Seyi Makinde and Bimbo Adekanmbi, alleging that the use of the P3 advertising format was carried out without authorisation or consent from Fizzie Republic.
According to the statement, the company did not grant the campaign organisation a licence to use the P3 format and was not consulted before the displays were deployed.
“Fizzie Republic will have no option than to take legal action against the infringers,” the statement said, while urging the parties involved to regularize the situation before the matter escalates.
Fizzie Republic said it wishes the campaign organisation well but stressed that proper licensing procedures must be followed in the use of the Portrait Pole Post format.
The company said photographic evidence of the disputed campaign displays had been attached to its publication.
