Prince Udofia, Busari get Olympic Eagles’ roles

The Nigeria Football Federation has appointed Prince Sunday Udofia as Team Coordinator of the U-23 men national football team, Olympic Eagles.

Udofia has excelled in a similar position previously, as he played the same role for the U-17 boys’ national team, Golden Eaglets, when the team successfully defended the FIFA U-17 World Cup title in Chile in 2015.

The NFF also named ace journalist Niyi Busari, who owns an online publication, BSN Sports, as media officer of the U-23 men national team.

Both men will join up with the squad as the team resumes camp in Ijebu-Ode on Sunday, 25th October ahead of a two-leg U-23 AFCON qualifying fixture against the Democratic Republic of Congo.

Nigeria and DR Congo will be at each other’s jugular in the first leg at the TP Mazembe Stadium in Lubumbashi on Friday, 13th November, four days before the return leg at the Remo Stars Stadium in Ikenne-Remo.
