Liverpool continue poor “pre season” run, donate vital points to Arsenal
By George Aluo
Liverpool continued their poor run since after being confirmed this season’s EPL champions, losing 2-1 to Arsenal.
The victory has revived Arsenal’s hope of finishing in the top six and being part of European football next season.
Two school boy mistakes by Vigil Van Dijk and goalkeeper Alisson Becker was what Arsenal capitalized on to score their goals in the 32nd and 44th minute with Alexandre Lacazette and Reiss Nelson doing the job.
It was a game in which Arteta stringed some changes with Aubamayang and some other regulars not starting.
Liverpool had before the game dropped point against Burnley and losing scandalously to Man City in what clearly showed they have switched off with just two more games to go.
