Tuesday, November 17, 2020 has turned out to be the most horrible day in German football as they suffered their worst ever defeat losing 6-0 to Spain in a Uefa Nations League qualifier.

The match which was decided in the Spanish city of Sevilla was one in which Spain quietly removed the letter A in Germany, spelling the former world champions as “Germny” with six goals.

Germany all through the 90 minutes of action put every foot wrong with goalkeeper Manuel Neuer badly exposed for most part of the game.

Ferran Tores scored a hattrick, while the trio of Morata, Rodri and Mikel Oyarzabal completed the demolition of the Germans.

The encounter was a winner takes all affair as Spain qualified for the UEFA Nations League as winners of the group that also included Ukraine and Switzerland.

The other match of the group between Switzerland and Ukraine was cancelled after six Ukrainian players tested positive to Covid-19.

It would be noted that German side Bayern Munich had early this year humiliated Spanish giants Barcelona by 8-2 on their way to emerging European Champions League kings.

The victory of Spain Tuesday night in Sevilla is like a revenge for Spanish football secured at national team level.
