Anambra FA approves 2026 budget, passes vote of confidence on Iloenyosi

..Congratulates Gov Soludo on his election victory

The Anambra State Football Association ( ANSFA) has approved it’s budget for 2026 even as it passed a vote of confidence on the state chairman, Chikelue Iloenyosi, praising the leadership of the State football Association for the tremendous improvement of the game and the new wave of grassroots’ football development across the state.

This was part of the resolution reached at the end of the 2026 Annual General Assembly of the body held on Friday, February, 6 at the East End Hotel, Awka, the Anambra State Capital.

In a communique issued at the end of the meeting, The FA congratulated the Governor of Anambra State, His Excellency, Prof Charles Soludo CFR on his recent second tenure election victory, just as the Congress also thanked him for the inclusion of football in the Onwa Dezemba Yuletide celebrations.
According to the communique, the congress also expressed appreciation to Chief Dr. Polycarp Emenike (odenigbo Nanka) CEO, Neros Pharmaceuticals on his continuous Sponsorship of the Neros Anambra State FA Cup, running over 25 years as well as Chief Martin Nwabueze Akubudike N’umudioka for taking up the Sponsorship of Anambra State Football League after many shied away.

The Congress further appreciated the Nigeria Football Federation led by Alh. Ibrahim Gusau for providing enabling environment for football growth and advancement in Nigeria.

Finally, the Congress, while calling on well meaning individuals & corporate bodies to invest more in football infrastructures, development and competitions, the 5 years suspension of two individuals; Mr. Ikechukwu Leonard Igbokwe and Mr. Chijioke Onyedika from taking part in football activities in Anambra State.
